What is Drive-in Racking?
A drive-in racking system is a high-density pallet storage solution designed to maximize space by allowing forklifts to drive directly into the rack structure. This creates deep storage lanes where pallets are stored back-to-front, significantly reducing aisle space. It is a Last-In, First-Out (LIFO) system, meaning the last pallet loaded is the first one retrieved. This makes it an ideal choice for products with long shelf lives or in bulk.
Often called warehouse drive-in racking, this system utilizes a continuous block of storage without aisles, creating maximum space utilization. Its structure includes upright frames, load rails, and a top-to-bottom bracing system to provide stability and support for pallets.
